Thank you for years of Support for this Parade!
The 2018 St. Patrick's Day Parade is schedule for Saturday March 17th at 10AM along Ocean Drive from Flamevine to Azalea Lane. Participants line up at 9AM.
The Vero Beach St. Patrick's Parade is designed to promoted Irish Culture and heritage on the Treasure Coast. Traditionally, St. Patrick's parades honor the patron Saint of Ireland, for his contribution to Christianity, social and cultural values worldwide.
There is no cost to participate in the parade. Clergy, chruch groups, civic groups, marching troops, twirlers, color guards, antique cars and musicians as well as police, fire, and emergency personnel and our elected officials are encouraged to participate.
We offer a special invitation for families to come and march in the parade as a family unit or participate in our Parade of Counties carrying the county flag of their ancestors.
The short parade will begin at Flamevine and Cardinal and proceed east to Ocean Drive, to Azalea Lane and west to Cardinal Drive.
"Wearing of the green" and other appropriate decorations honoring the Green isle of Ireland and its Patron, St. Patrick, are encouraged. EVERYONE IS IRISH ON ST. PATRICK'S DAY.
For further information regarding registration, participation, and viewing of the parade, call Al Benkert at 772-713-1045.
Unfortunately, due to the decline in participation over the last several years, the OBA has decided to retire this parade. We thank you for so many years of support.
